First to clarify why I write this article. I have been wagering on the web or at physical casinos for a great many years. I have learned, the dependency can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it up until you are bankrupt. Especially if you are on a winning run. I have gone through countless tens of thousands of dollars in a very tiny amount of time and still on occasion, I will go too far. It seems you’re just having fun until you decide to track your loss and the guilt sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can win it back" constantly. It does not works. Then you become sick in your belly and the harder you try the quicker you lose.
When you see that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, don’t say to yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan hardly ever works. Say you are playing on slots, have an amount put aside before starting your play. DO NOT exceed that limit, no matter how alluring. If you actually win, put that in a different cup. Don’t risk your wins no matter what. Once you’ve played through your original set limit, stop. Head out, whether it’s on the web or at a land based betting house, don’t stick around. Always keep in mind, there will be another day, another time.
Keep in mind, gambling is supposed to be FUN not exhausting, sickening work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan’t manage the cost, don’t even begin.
